About Thermoweed...

Thermoweed was created in the year 2000 to bring to the market alternative methods of weed control and vegetation management. With in the increased interest in organic farming methods and the drive towards reducing the use of herbicides in food production a lot of the early work was focused towards the agricultural sector.

During fact finding trips to Northern Europe we saw the extensive use of gas burners being used for amenity weed control especially in areas close to water or where the water table is very high. Thermoweed started offering these amenity burners to UK customers and from slow beginnings have a diverse list of customers which include, councils, water authorities, schools, stately homes and Palaces.

With more pressure on herbicide use being applied by EU legislation and The Water Framework Directive Thermoweed are strongly placed to offer customers a viable alternative, utilising a clean burning primary energy source, which is non weather dependant has no run off issues and is easy and safe for the operators to use.
